The Pelvic Floor: Awareness and Functioning Seminar

Often invisible and overlooked, the pelvic floor plays a vital role in many fundamental bodily functions: opening, closing, protecting, supporting, transferring, receiving, eliminating... It performs these tasks quietly and seamlessly most of the time.

Since the body is an integrated system, the way we use our pelvic floor is closely connected to the quality of our movements, posture, balance, breathing, voice, expression, sexual function, and more. The pelvic floor muscles work in coordination with other muscle groups to support the hips, spine, and abdominal organs.

An increasing number of dysfunctions are linked to the pelvic floor in both men and women. Though often neglected, the proper functioning of this area is crucial for the balance of the entire psychophysical system.

📋 About the Seminar:

This workshop is based on revolutionary modern methods of somatic retraining. These methods are highly effective as they work with the nervous system and leverage neuroplasticity. Carefully designed somatic learning exercises will allow participants to explore, feel, and better control the pelvic muscles and pelvic floor in various positions associated with breathing and everyday movements, as well as their corresponding functions.

By deeply engaging with body awareness and experiential anatomy, you will begin to understand and differentiate the functioning of all layers of the pelvic floor and sphincters. Finally, all this new perception and knowledge will be integrated into the dynamic functioning of the entire body.

The seminar will also include anatomy and physiology lectures with presentations on pelvic floor dysfunctions, partner work, and somatic exploratory lessons.
