How to Sit Correctly // Part 3 Relaxing the Shoulders

In this series of somatic lessons, we will address stress and anxiety responses through the body. When we experience stress, worry, or anxiety, our muscles tense up, and this tension accumulates in the body. Simply "relaxing" often doesn’t work. We need specific practices that help shift us into a different internal state — one of calm and resilience.

In this video series, we will sequentially focus our attention on different parts of the body, learning to relax the muscles and, with them, the nervous system. Each practice takes 10-15 minutes, but the effects can last the whole day. These practices have a cumulative effect — the more you practice, the calmer you become, the better you sleep, and the deeper you breathe.
